Ministry is Draining

Don’t grow weary in well doing they say

But do they really understand the stress that we face that goes unnoticed every day?

Things get so overwhelming and we just want it to end

We cry to people but sometimes we feel like Jesus is our only friend

No one truly understands what we’re going through

No matter how much they try to

We get tired and frustrated

But we know that through it all we have to faith it

~~~~
Tired, warned out and discouraged
No hope left but still trying to find some strength and courage
We’ve been working so much without a break
We know it’s important that we keep going for their sake
But it gets hard and sometimes we just want to stop
But we know we can’t because God wants us to help people to be elevated to the top
So when we fall down we get back up
We know that God is a restorer and He will fill our cup
Ministry is not for the faint in heart
Even when you lack motivation you must still start
When you get tired remember that it’s not all about you
It’s about the people God is using you to minister to
So when you get weary remember the people that you’re fighting for
They are the reason why God continually asks you to do more
Even when you feel like giving up don’t quit
Because at the end of the day it will all be worth it
As Christians, many of us happily take on roles within the church. We hate to admit it but sometimes we get tired and grow weary in well doing. This is perfectly normal and it’s okay to be tired. It’s okay to need a break. That doesn’t mean that you don’t care about your ministry. While taking breaks are important, it is important for us to never give up. Keep pushing and having faith that God will bring you through and He will reveal to you when the time is right to pass on the baton.
 During the times when you got tired while working for God, what kept you going and caused you not to quit?
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
-Galatians 6:9
This blog was created during my first term of Law School. This journey has truly been a roller coaster ride and I want you guys to come on this journey with me as I go through the ups and downs of surviving as a young adult and I hope you're inspired by some of the lessons I've learnt along the way.
